As a STOTT PILATES® Licensed Training Center, certification training, programs and continuing education workshops are conducted to expand the education and knowledge of the STOTT PILATES® method to all Pilates, Yoga and Fitness instructors who desire to provide safe and effective Pilates exercise to their clients.

THE BEGINNING:
Chau grew up dancing and completed her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science degrees in Knoxville, Tennessee. Chau balanced a full-time Engineering position for over 10 years with a part-time dancing career.

After an automobile accident in 2002, she researched methods of fitness to rehabilitate her neck, back and knee.  Experiencing the personal growth with the pilates practice in San Diego, Chau decided to pursue a career as a STOTT PILATES® Instructor.  Chau became a fully certified STOTT PILATES® instructor in 2006.

INSTRUCTOR:
Chau advocates the concept that proper fitness training is a lifestyle investment that benefits one currently and for the future. Through education development and experience, Chau has developed the skills to instruct clients with musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disease, auto-immune disorder, Osteoporosis, Scoliosis, breast cancer, and pre-natal or post-natal.

Her knowledge in biomechanics and neuromuscular anatomy are valued by fitness, sports and competitive athletes to surpass challenges and accomplish transformation. Clients have included:

EDUCATOR:
Chau fulfilled education and instruction experience requirements to be a STOTT PILATES® Fully Certified Instructor Trainer in 2006.  She was awarded the designation of a STOTT PILATES® Lead Instructor Trainer in 2014 for outstanding performance in education, mentorship and professional performance.

Chau is qualified to instruct the full certification programs and over 150 MerrithewTM continuing education workshops, including all eight Specialty Tracks (Athletic Conditioning, Golf Conditioning, Post-Rehabilitation Conditioning, Active for Live, Pre- & Post-Natal, Group Matwork, Group Equipment, Dance).  As a STOTT PILATES® Lead Instructor Trainer, Chau is also qualified to instruct STOTT PILATES® continuing education workshops to other STOTT PILATES® Instructor Trainers.

Marcia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance at Hollins College in Virginia and has always been active in theatrical movement, exercise and fitness. Marcia’s physical injuries, as a result of years of dance and fitness motivated her to research all training methods to relieve her chronic knee and back discomforts. While competing in ballroom dance, Marcia discovered the benefits of Pilates. She experienced the positive impact it had on her balance, core strength and overall health, so she studied the STOTT PILATES® Method, leading her to become a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor in 2012. Furthering a career path in fitness training, Marcia expanded her professional development by being trained in TOTAL BARRETM , ZEN•GA® and TRX® Suspension Training®.

Motivated to help others with their physical struggles and fitness goals, Marcia began the MELT Method® education in 2013 and became a MELT Method® instructor in 2016.

Marcia’s training and commitment in STOTT PILATES® and MELT allows her to design individual programs to meet her clients needs.


LILI RODRIGUEZ

In 2002, Liliana begin to implement pilates into her daily activities.  With the positive transformation of her body, she desired to share her experience to others by pursuing a career in fitness as a personal trainer with a focus on pilates.  In 2015, Liliana further progressed her training and education by becoming a STOTT PILATES® Fully Certified Instructor through the services and training offered at Pilates South Texas.  Liliana also holds a personal trainer certification by NASM® and she is also trained in TRX® Suspension Training®.

Born in Bogota, Colombia, Liliana has instructed overseas and is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.  Her philosophy is to empower and share her knowledge with others as she assists them to achieve their personal goals.


LINDA BABCOCK

Linda’s experience in movement began at a very young age in ballet. She danced throughout her college years and continues to this day. Linda studied ballet in many schools including The Alberta Ballet, Halifax Dance, Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts, and The National Ballet School of Canada. She earned her Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Dalhousie University to work in the corporate world.

During the 18 years of dancing, Linda struggled with knee injuries and the re-occurrence of injuries to her knee joints. Determined to maintain her joy for dancing, Linda’s research brought her to leaning and practicing the STOTT PILATES® Method.

It was a natural progression that Linda completed the Comprehensive STOTT PILATES® Program at the Merrithew Corporate Training Center in Toronto, Canada due to her love for studying movement. Linda became a Fully Certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor in 2016, giving her the knowledge, with emphasizes on joint stability to apply to clients. Also, she is able to design programs for clients who want to enhance their strength through Pilates exercises for gymnastic and acrobatic practices.

Linda recently moved to Texas from Toronto and is excited to offer her Pilates instruction at Pilates South Texas. She finds great joy in helping her clients get stronger so they may live life to the fullest.


CANDACE CAGLE

Trained in the Active Isolated Stretching (AIS): The Mattes Method

Candace holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ballet Performance from the University of Oklahoma. First introduced to Pilates in 2001 while she was a student at the Houston Ballet Academy, Candace quickly discovered the benefits of adding Pilates to her repertoire of dance classes. She was impressed with how Pilates helped her develop more strength and flexibility, which allowed her to become a stronger, more adept dancer. While dancing on scholarship at the University of Oklahoma, Candace continued learning and practicing Pilates regularly.

Candace received her STOTT PILATES® education through Pilates South Texas and has been teaching at the studio since 2012. She is a STOTT PILATES® certified Instructor and has taken STOTT PILATES® Injuries and Special Populations training in addition to attending numerous workshops to expand her knowledge of Pilates and improve as an instructor. Candace has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients, ranging from pre-natal and post-natal to individuals with musculoskeletal injuries, lower back pain, osteoarthritis, rotator cuff injuries and Osteoporosis. Candace loves sharing the benefits of Pilates with her clients as she helps them to achieve their specific goals and improve their overall health and wellness.


MARIEL MOLINA

Mariel has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Houston and has always had an active lifestyle incorporating running, trekking, yoga, high intensity interval training, and strength training into her workout regimes.

After experiencing chronic low back, shoulder pain and surgery, she met a physical therapist that used STOTT PILATES® during rehabilitation. Mariel continued to practice STOTT PILATES® regularly and deepened her post rehab workouts by becoming a trained STOTT PILATES® instructor.

She uses the same foundations of structural engineering, distribution of loads, levers and pulleys, when applying the principles of biomechanics in client’s training sessions. Currently, she works with clients that have chronic back pain and osteoporosis to relive pain and gain strength so they can resume the activities they love. Mariel is also fluent in Spanish.

Irina has always been physically active her entire life. In her youth, she was involved in swimming and water skiing. Irina earned her Bachelor of Fashion Design degree at the Vitebsk State Technological University in Belarus as she worked out regularly in a gym setting which involved excessive use of free weights and exercise machines. After shoulder, elbow, and lower back injuries from the workouts involved with free weight training, she decided to explore other options of fitness.

After researching various modalities of fitness, Irina came to Pilates South Texas in 2012 to explore the benefits of Pilates. Through regular STOTT PILATES® sessions at the studio with her persistence, she noticed a dramatic improvement to her posture and her overall fitness. As she learned the proper activation of muscles, she experienced the significant reduction of injuries with more confidence in her movement.

Irina wanted to increase her understanding of Pilates, so she decided to progress her knowledge of STOTT PILATES® while becoming an instructor at Pilates South Texas. Irina desires to inspire others with Pilates so that they may experience sports and activities with a healthy lifestyle. Irina is also fluent in Russian.


CAROL ANDRADE

PILATES FOUNDATION INSTRUCTOR

STOTT PILATES® Trained Instructor in Mat, Level 1 & 2, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels, Level 1

Carol developed her passion for physical fitness while performing ballet and jazz dancing in São Paulo, Brazil during her childhood.  As she pursued an active fitness lifestyle, she began regular practice of Pilates to complement her daily workout regime.

During her final year in law school, she gave birth to her daughter and found in pilates the perfect postpartum workout to recover her prior shape. After moving to Houston in 2016, Carol decided to advance her knowledge of pilates and began her STOTT PILATES® education and training at Pilates South Texas. Carol has aspiration to complete the full STOTT PILATES® certification program in 2018.

Carol is enthusiastic and motivated to share with others the benefits of receiving a powerful workout in a peaceful and friendly environment that which she has found at Pilates South Texas. Carol is also fluent in Portuguese.
