INTENSIVE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
The STOTT PILATES® Intensive Program is designed for qualifying fitness and health professionals. Intensive certification is designed for individuals who have a fundamental understanding of anatomy and movement.

Each course in the program has been carefully developed to prepare you to teach STOTT PILATES® Matwork and Equipment repertoire safely, effectively and with confidence.

INTENSIVE COURSE OBJECTIVES
As a student of our STOTT PILATES® Intensive Certification Program, you will learn:
. How to apply STOTT PILATES® biomechanical principles of core stability, peripheral mobility, breathing and alignment to relevant exercises
. Breakdown of essential and intermediate level exercises
. Exercise essence, muscular initiation and movement sequencing
. Variations to increase or decrease exercise intensity
. Modifications for specific body types, postural issues, and conditions
. Effective communication, visual skills, verbal cuing and imagery for performance enhancement and client motivation

CROSSOVER COURSE OBJECTIVES

Crossover courses were created to offer instructors additional opportunities for professional growth by helping them make the transition from private to group training and vice versa. Unlike our standard courses, crossover options are designed to act as a bridge between the Group program and the Intensive program.

STOTT PILATES® Certification Process
At the conclusion of each intensive or crossover course you will receive a letter of completion and the relevant continuing education credits. Upon receiving the letter of completion, you are qualified to teach Pilates to that specific course level for a period of up to six months after completion. Only when you pass your examination are you a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor.

STOTT PILATES® certification is only awarded upon successful completion of each course and a written and practical exam. You can certify in stages by taking an exam after each course or following a series of courses. The examination must be taken within six months from completion of your last course and is in addition to the course fees.
